By downloading, installing, or using GhostFirewall ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
GhostFirewall is a self-control and parental-control tool for Android. It can block gambling-related websites and apps, filter notifications, manage background apps, and block tracking SDKs when you grant the permissions Android requires (VPN, SMS, Accessibility, Notification Access, Usage Access, Device Admin where offered).
The App is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. It does not replace professional treatment, counselling, or emergency services for gambling harm or any other condition.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these terms. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the App or APK except as explicitly permitted by us in writing.
GhostFirewall is distributed outside the Google Play Store because our privacy model conflicts with Play policies that require certain tracking integrations. You install the App at your own choice from our website or authorised channels we provide (for example Meshnet file transfer from your homelab).
You are responsible for enabling "Install unknown apps" only from sources you trust.
Premium plans (for example Privacy Shield or Gambling Shield) may be offered with recurring fees as described on the website or in the App. Prices, features, and billing periods are shown before purchase where applicable.
We strive for reliable blocking, but no technical solution is 100% effective. New gambling domains, apps, or message types may appear before lists update. VPN conflicts (for example another VPN app) may prevent protection until resolved.
The App is provided on a best-effort basis without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GhostFirewall and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost funds, relapse, data loss, or device issues, arising from use or inability to use the App.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK consumer protection law.
Some features use Android Device Administrator or Accessibility services. These are powerful permissions. You may disable them at any time in Android Settings. We use them only for stated blocking and consent automation features, not for remote surveillance by GhostFirewall servers.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and revoking permissions. We may discontinue downloads or updates with notice on the website where practical.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Disputes should first be raised via [email protected].
